Lucky Thrifted Vintage Treasures this week.

Fabulous and exciting thrifting week for me.  I paid very little for all items below.
Yay for bargains!

Tomorrow a large group of us will be heading to Webster, Florida
I'm excited to spend the day with friends and family.
Hoping for a super lucky vintage treasure hunting day.

I'll probably be selling it all, except for the last item.  :)

And lastly, one of my favorite finds of my whole entire thrifting life (25 years).  I paid $50 for 3 rugs from the 1930's, originally from England.  I've wanted some of these for years and years, but never would spring the $$$.
I'm sooooooooooo happy and excited.
(I'll post better pictures hopefully soon.  I had been taking pictures for 4 hours by the time I got to the rugs and I was tired....blah....but I wanted you to see, and celebrate with me.  :)

Moleskin Cover Giveaway - Vintage Coffee and Notes

I really love Andrea Creates, her blog and everything in her Etsy store

I've been a fan since I first saw her blog a few years ago.  I like her style, her buttery peaceful photography.  She sews simple, sweet things which have a retro look to them,
without being costumey
It's all very Fresh and Cheerful.

I'm sharing her little moleskin notebook cover as
My First Giveaway.

**It has 2 pockets on the inside as well as a spot for a pencil.  It's small (but not too small) so it will fit nicely in a bag without adding bulk or weight.  She uses vintage materials in her sewing as well.  Old ribbon, buttons and lace.....yummy

**I'm also adding a $25 Starbucks gift card, so when you're taking a coffee break and your brain is in the mood to storm, you'll have pencil and paper handy for your 2013 planning ideas

Pooh wishes everyone good luck, but mumbled within earshot, he hopes a cat lover wins.  I called him on it and said that wasn't kind.  He went to his room to pout.

1943 Hide and Seek Vintage Mechanical Book

Hope you don't mind another photo heavy post.
I'm too tired to feel inspired or to be inspiring.

Let's let each other off the "inspire me to greatness" hook
and do the eye candy thing, shall we?

Besides,
~ paper, art, illustrations, children's literature ~
INSPIRE me!

Holy Mother of Batman, Robin and heck......the whole cotton pickin' Justice League,
I'm so in love with this book.

It's strange.  It's gorgeous.  It's unique.  It's fun.  It's divinely peachy.

It's a riddle, joke book.  It's got little pockets, windows and levers to pull or open,
revealing the answer.
(Do they call these Mechanical Books?  I'm drawing a blank).

I hate the small pictures and wish you could hold it in your hands.
It's one of the neatest little books I've ever seen.  The colors are so rich and glorious.

Pull her tongue.  Really?

It still has the little secret report booklet inside.  Usually children lose these right away.
For this to still be here increases it's value.

I'll probably sell it on Etsy eventually.
I'll keep it a week or two and look at it 100 more times.

I hope you are
INSPIRED
:)

Choose Joy.
Be blessed and Be a Blessing.
